Freighter Group, a top supplier to Australasia's road transport industry, is looking for a skilled Heavy vehicle Body Builder - Leading Hand to join our team. We are seeking someone to build and repair truck trailers to high standards. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team that focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency. We have an open position for PM shift.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of body repairs and fabrication, including large replacements and fiberglass work.
• Handle trailer refurbishment and modifications.
• Conduct mechanical reconditioning and repairs, which may involve suspension, electrical, braking, welding, and fabrication.
• Help improve the quality and efficiency of the workshop's output.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and material records.
• Work collaboratively with your team, assist in training others, and maintain a safe workspace.

What You'll Bring:

• A trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in automotive or heavy vehicle repair/manufacturing, with a preference for semi-trailer experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of best practices for repairs and fabrication.
• A commitment to quality and meeting deadlines.
