About the role:
We are seeking expressions of interest for production operator roles at our Nelson site, where we manufacture melamine panels for use in the construction industry.
We have both day shift and night shift opportunities available.
You will be part of a small, supportive team and these roles are hands-on where you will carry out a range of duties, such as:
- Pre-production setup
- Running the pressing machines
- Packing ready for distribution
- Unloading and loading trucks
- Being cross trained across different tasks
- Making sure you follow our safety rules to keep yourself and others at work safe and well – including wearing PPE
About you:
You are a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and will show up to work every day. You are physically fit, able to lift up to 20kgs and are eager to learn and grow.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following;
- Reliability and consistency
- A friendly, enthusiastic personality
- Team player that helps others
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail, a focus on quality & safety
- An “F” Endorsement and current forklift operator certificate would be an advantage; however training can be provided
