About the role:

Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are seeking an organised and detail-focused Dispatch Supervisor to oversee our daily dispatch operations, including supervising a team of 5 truck drivers.

This role leads and manages the team as well as ensures finished goods are accurately and safely scheduled and dispatched on time - to meet customer, sales and production requirements.

You will work closely with production, warehousing, sales, customer service and logistics partners, to ensure smooth outbound operations and the maintenance of high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team, ensuring high performance, customer service, and safety standards are met
• Coordinate daily dispatch schedules in line with production output and customer delivery requirements
• Prepare and process dispatch documentation (delivery dockets, packing lists, invoices, transport paperwork)
• Liaise with external freight carriers to arrange timely and safe pickups and deliveries
• Monitor dispatch priorities and adjust schedules as needed
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/inventory systems
• Resolve dispatch issues, delays or discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and company policies & procedures
• Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding dispatch status
• Optimise truck fleet routing for customer service and cost efficiency

About you:

• Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or manufacturing supervisory role (2+ years)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams constructively
• Comfortable using ERP systems, inventory software, Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Possess natural leadership skills
