New Zealand Panels Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative interior panel products used by the joinery industry.  We also supply high pressure laminates, porcelain and engineered stone benchtop materials along with a range of substrates and stainless-steel products.  Specified by New Zealand's top architects and designers, our products can be found in projects built by the country's leading residential and commercial builders.
  
We’re seeking an experienced Specification Representative to join our friendly team. Reporting to the Specification Manager, you’ll build and maintain customer and client relationships, specifically with architects in the Auckland region.
  
You’ll work proactively, building credibility through your relationships, with Architects, Interior designers, and other technical decision makers, to identify and secure a pipeline of both commercial and residential specified projects, delivering market share growth for the business.
  
This is a hands-on role for someone with established relationships in the A & D community, construction industry experience and technical knowledge, who is familiar with interior products, and enjoys long-term relationship building and working closely with a collaborative team.
  
Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving specification by building and maintaining excellent, long-term relationships with architects and (some) designers.
• Proactively manage your pipeline and project portfolio through specification, conversion, completion and hitting revenue targets.
• Deliver professional, knowledgeable and influencing presentations to secure business.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge to key stakeholders.
• Work across the business, forming solid, collaborative and constructive relationships with Account Managers, Sales Managers, other Specification Representatives and the Marketing team.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while still ensuring growth from existing business.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A tertiary qualification (desirable).
• An existing network of specifier/industry contacts in the architecture/design/interior industry (highly desirable).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales focused role in the construction/interiors sector, preferably associated with the furniture or joinery industries.
• Business acumen.
• Excellent presentation & communication skills with a strong ability to influence.
• Be results driven with an ability to self-motivate on a day-to-day basis.
