Corporate Tax Manager

WestonBrook Associates are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly respected Top 20 accountancy firm, with the recruitment of a Corporate Tax Manager to join its expanding tax advisory team in North Hertfordshire.

Due to significant growth, continued client wins and increasing demand for specialist tax advice, this newly created position offers an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager seeking a role with a genuine advisory focus. Reporting directly to the SLT, you will manage a diverse and interesting portfolio of clients including entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, established corporate groups, fast-growth companies and high-profile business owners. With minimal compliance responsibilities, the role will focus primarily on delivering high-quality tax advisory services and supporting clients through a broad range of strategic and commercial transactions.

The Role

• Managing a varied portfolio of corporate clients, owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial ventures
• Providing commercially focused corporate tax advice across a wide range of planning and advisory projects
• Leading advisory assignments including restructures, group reorganisations, transactions, demergers, acquisitions and succession planning
• Advising clients on tax-efficient business structures and growth strategies
• Supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals and corporate transactions
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key client stakeholders and acting as a trusted adviser
• Working closely with Partners and Directors on complex advisory matters
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering innovative solutions tailored to client objectives
• Collaborating with audit, accounts and business advisory teams to provide integrated client services
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the tax team where appropriate
• Keeping abreast of developments in UK tax legislation and ensuring clients receive proactive and timely advice

  
  
About You

• CTA or ACA/ACCA qualified with 5+ years’ corporate tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering corporate tax advisory services
• Excellent technical knowledge across a broad range of UK corporate tax matters
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify planning opportunities and add value to clients
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Organised and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to play a key role within a growing and highly successful tax team
