WestonBrook Associates are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly respected Top 75 accountancy firm, with the recruitment of a Corporate Tax Assistant / Semi-Senior to join its growing London tax team. This is an exciting newly created role, reflecting the continued expansion of the firm's tax offering and presenting an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to further develop their advisory skills whilst working alongside highly experienced tax specialists.

Reporting directly into a Tax Partner, you will work with a diverse portfolio of corporate clients ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate groups. The position offers a strong blend of advisory-led work, alongside an element of compliance, making it ideal for someone keen to broaden their technical knowledge and commercial exposure within a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role

• Supporting the delivery of corporate tax advisory and compliance services across a varied client portfolio
• Assisting with a wide range of advisory projects including restructures, group reorganisations, share incentive schemes, capital allowance reviews, transaction support and tax planning assignments
• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax computations and returns for a broad range of businesses
• Conducting tax research and assisting in the preparation of client advice and reports
• Liaising directly with clients, answering day-to-day tax queries and building strong professional relationships
• Supporting the Tax Partner on complex advisory assignments and special projects
• Assisting with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Keeping abreast of changes in UK tax legislation and helping clients remain compliant
• Collaborating with colleagues across audit, accounts and business advisory teams to provide joined-up client solutions

About You

• Ideally ATT qualified, ATT studying, CTA studying, ACA/ACCA tax-focused or qualified by experience
• Previous corporate tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Good understanding of UK corporation tax principles and compliance requirements
• A genuine interest in developing a career within corporate tax advisory
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive approach with the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively to deadlines
