Are you an experienced Accounts & Audit professional looking to take the next step in your career? A highly respected and well‑established firm with over half a century of strong local presence, is seeking a talented ACA/ACCA part of fully qualified Accounts & Audit Senior on a full time basis to join their growing team at their office based on the outskirts of Southend-on-Sea.
 
About the Role
 
This is a varied, client-facing position offering a blend of accounts preparation, audit work, and advisory exposure. You'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, supporting them with accurate financial reporting and high‑quality audit delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients spanning a range of industries
• Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102-1A  for a broad mix of SMEs and owner‑managed businesses
• Leading audit assignments from the initial planning phase through to completion
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Working collaboratively within a friendly and supportive team environment 

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3+ years' experience working for a reputable UK based firm
• Demonstrable experience of working in an evenly blended audit and accounts role
• Confident in managing client relationships
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Organised, detail‑focused, and committed to delivering high-quality work
