Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (with Die Setting Experience)
Our client is a large leading manufacturer in packaging, automotive, medical, electronic products, and consumer goods. 
The Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Afternoon) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role includes hands-on die setting, process optimization, team supervision, and coordination with maintenance, quality, and planning teams to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Process Control

• Supervise and manage injection moulding operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure production targets, cycle times, and quality standards are achieved
• Perform and oversee die/mould setting, changeovers, and machine startups
• Monitor process parameters and troubleshoot moulding defects
• Implement process improvements to reduce scrap, downtime, and cycle time

Die Setting & Technical Support

• Set, align, and secure moulds/dies on injection moulding machines
• Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, clamp force)
• Ensure correct installation of auxiliaries (hot runner controller, robots, conveyors, chillers, dryers)
• Coordinate mould maintenance and report tooling issues

Team Supervision

• Lead, train, and motivate machine operators
• Allocate manpower and assign tasks based on production priorities
• Enforce standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Conduct shift handovers and maintain production records

Quality & Safety

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and inspection procedures
• Address quality issues and initiate corrective actions
• Enforce Work, health & safety, and housekeeping standards
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished goods

Coordination & Reporting

• Communicate production status, issues, and shift reports to management
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in plastic injection moulding operations
• Proven hands-on die/mould setting experience is preferred
• Prior supervisory or team-leading experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and materials
• Troubleshooting skills for moulding defects and machine issues
• Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Working Conditions

• Shift-based role (including night shifts if required)
• Factory/manufacturing environment
