Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong CAD background who enjoys working on standards-driven designs and seeing products progress from concept through to certified, production-ready solutions.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support product development, compliance, and certification across a range of engineering projects.
The Role
This position is heavily focused on CAD-based design, technical documentation, and compliance with Australian and international standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining 3D models and detailed engineering drawings
• Producing specifications and technical documentation
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards (AS/NZS, ISO, ASTM, where applicable)
• Supporting product certification and approval processes
• Reviewing and applying standards and regulatory requirements to designs
• Assisting with design verification, validation, and continuous improvement
• Providing technical support to sales and customer-facing documentation
• Collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, and external certifying bodies
• Maintaining accurate engineering records and document control

About You
You're methodical, organised, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple tasks.
You'll bring:

• A degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline preferred)
• Proficiency in CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience working with engineering standards and compliance frameworks
• High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to product certification or regulatory approval processes
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience working within quality systems or design control environments
