Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking to appoint experienced Senior Project Managers to support the continued growth of its infrastructure project management capability.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of major infrastructure projects across sectors including transportation, utilities and highways.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, acting as a key day-to-day interface with clients and ensuring projects are successfully delivered against agreed time, cost and quality objectives.
The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead project management commissions of varying size and complexity. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of major and complex infrastructure projects
- Acting as the principal day-to-day interface with clients
- Establishing clear project objectives and ensuring these are achieved
- Managing projects against agreed programme, cost and quality targets
- Establishing appropriate project governance, processes and controls
- Developing and maintaining project plans and programmes
- Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Monitoring project performance and providing clear progress reporting
- Managing project risks, issues and change
- Supporting commercial and contractual management throughout delivery
- Building effective relationships with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Providing leadership and support to more junior members of the project management team
About youWe are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers who can demonstrate:
- Significant project management experience within infrastructure or a closely related environment
- Experience delivering complex projects from inception through to completion
- A strong understanding of project controls, programme, cost, risk and change management
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A relevant degree, ideally within civil engineering, construction or a related discipline
- Chartered status or an appropriate professional qualification with ICE, APM, RICS or equivalent would be advantageous
Experience within transportation, utilities or highways would be particularly relevant, although candidates from other complex infrastructure environments are also encouraged to apply.
