Senior Project Manager - Central & Local Government
London, Leeds or Manchester

Our client, a leading consultancy, is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to support an expanding portfolio of public-sector development and construction projects.
This is an opportunity to work on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across central and local government, taking responsibility for project delivery from the early stages through to construction and handover.
The role would particularly suit someone who understands both the technical and commercial challenges associated with delivering projects in complex public-sector environments.
The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with public-sector clients, consultants, designers and contractors. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects through the development and construction lifecycle
- Undertaking project research, data collection and benchmarking
- Establishing effective project processes, governance and controls
- Producing and maintaining project plans
- Monitoring project progress and key performance indicators
- Managing and documenting project change
- Preparing project communications and formal progress reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors, designers and other stakeholders
- Coordinating and attending project meetings
- Supporting the resolution of technical and delivery issues
- Providing effective client-facing project management throughout delivery
About youWe are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers who can demonstrate:
- A relevant engineering, construction or property qualification
- A broad understanding of the development lifecycle, including business case, design, consents, procurement, construction and handover
- Direct experience of construction delivery
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisation and reporting skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with clients, designers and contractors
Experience of residential-led or mixed-use development, infrastructure, enabling works, highways, utilities, remediation, public realm or major regeneration programmes would be advantageous.
Our client has a preference for candidates based in London, Leeds or Manchester.
