Project Manager - Infrastructure
London, Leeds or Manchester

Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking to appoint Project Managers to support the continued growth of its infrastructure project management capability.

The opportunities span major infrastructure sectors and offer exposure to complex projects involving transportation, highways, utilities and associated infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for Project Managers looking to broaden their experience while taking increasing responsibility for client-facing project delivery.


The role

As a Project Manager, you will support and lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for delivering projects to agreed time, cost and quality objectives. Responsibilities will include:

• Advising clients during project inception and development
• Defining and maintaining project requirements
• Establishing project objectives and success criteria
• Developing project governance, processes and systems
• Preparing and maintaining project programmes and master plans
• Managing project delivery against approved plans and targets
• Supporting resource planning and procurement
• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
• Monitoring project performance using appropriate KPIs
• Managing project change
• Developing budgets and monitoring forecast and actual costs
• Managing project information and stakeholder communications
• Identifying and managing project risks
• Producing project progress reports
• Managing relationships with clients, consultants and other stakeholders
• Supporting the management of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements

About you

We are interested in speaking with Project Managers who can demonstrate:

• Experience delivering infrastructure or construction projects
• A degree in a construction or infrastructure-related discipline
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Good commercial awareness
• The ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts would be highly advantageous
• NEC accreditation would be beneficial
• Chartered status, or progress towards qualification with APM, ICE, RICS or another relevant professional body, would also be welcomed
