Senior Digital Marketing Manager - In-House
Built Environment Consultancy
Oxford or Reading | Hybrid working three days per week
Package up to £65,000, including car allowance
This is an opportunity for an experienced B2B digital marketer to step into a genuinely influential in-house role within a fast growing construction consultancy that is investing heavily in its people, its brand and its long term future.
I am working with a well established UK construction consultancy that has scaled significantly in recent years and continues to grow at pace. The business has a strong national presence, a loyal client base and clear plans to expand further across multiple sectors. Alongside this growth, there is a deliberate and well funded commitment to strengthening marketing, digital and client engagement capability.
Digital is a strategic priority for the business, not a support function, and this role sits at the centre of that journey.
The business
This is not a traditional or slow moving construction consultancy. It is a partnership led organisation that combines commercial ambition with a genuinely collaborative culture.
Headcount growth has been strong and is set to continue, with a clear ten year growth plan that will see the business more than triple in size. Investment is flowing not only into fee earning roles, but into the infrastructure required to support long term, sustainable growth.
The marketing function is being intentionally developed into an in house agency model. Rather than operating as a reactive service, the team is structured around specialist capability, clear ownership and close collaboration with the wider business. There is senior level backing, budget to do things properly, and the freedom to apply best practice rather than simply maintain the status quo.
For the right person, this creates a platform where your work is visible, valued and directly connected to business performance. The function is also supported by external agencies and appropriate budgets where needed.
The role
The Senior Digital Marketing Manager acts as the digital execution and optimisation lead, working closely with sector and campaigns marketing managers who own propositions, messaging and content.
Your role is to take those campaigns and bring them to life digitally. You will design how they are delivered across channels, ensure the right sequencing and automation is in place, and continuously improve performance through insight, testing and optimisation.
A key part of the role is supporting and operationalising a new website build. You will take ownership of how the website performs once live, ensuring it functions as a true marketing and lead generation platform rather than a static brochure.
As the digital platform matures, there is clear scope for this role to grow. Strong performance can lead to full ownership of the company’s digital strategy and progression into a more senior digital leadership position. The business has a clear aspiration to achieve best in class marketing within the construction sector.
You will be responsible for enabling campaigns digitally and ensuring they deliver measurable outcomes. This includes shaping how campaigns are deployed across email, paid media, search and social, and refining performance through continuous optimisation.
You will own website performance post launch, focusing on user experience, conversion, discoverability and lead capture. You will also play a key role in improving lead management, attribution and reporting, helping the business better understand what is working and where to invest.
The role involves close collaboration with content, PR and campaigns colleagues, operating within an in-house agency style model where everyone plays to their strengths. Your value lies in knowing how to deploy, amplify and optimise content through digital channels, rather than creating it yourself.
You will also support the effective use of systems such as CRM and analytics tools, helping embed ways of working that are practical, adopted and commercially useful.
The type of person this suits
This role suits a confident, commercially minded digital marketer with strong B2B experience, ideally gained within professional services, consultancy, legal, finance or a similar environment.
You will be comfortable across core digital disciplines including SEO, paid media, email marketing, marketing automation, analytics and website optimisation. More importantly, you will understand how to turn digital activity into meaningful business outcomes.
Equally important are your interpersonal skills. You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, able to explain digital decisions in clear commercial terms, and comfortable prioritising and pushing back when activity does not add value. You will enjoy collaboration, bring calm structure to complexity, and have the confidence to trust your judgement.
