Currently experiencing significant expansion, they seek an experienced Quantity Surveying professional to join their dynamic team in Manchester.
The role
They are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester and support their existing high-profile projects, as well as their significant pipeline of future opportunities. The role involves assisting with all aspects of Quantity Surveying consultancy services, from inception to completion.
Key responsibilities:
- Building strong client relationships through positive engagement and transparent communication
- Creating and implementing cost management strategies
- Designing and establishing efficient operational systems and processes
- Developing detailed financial projections, cost analyses, and alternative scenarios
- Compiling and distributing comprehensive financial reports
- Evaluating, monitoring, and communicating project modifications
- Overseeing risk assessment procedures and optimising project value
- Collaborating with vendors and executing strategic procurement approaches
- Coordinating effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and design teams
- Supervising sub-consultants and providing direction to construction management personnel
The candidate The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a consultancy or developer setting, bringing a proactive approach, commitment to customer service, and strong commercial awareness.
- Minimum 4+ years' relevant experience
- Strong verbal communication, numerical aptitude, and report/proposal writing capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Commercial acumen and proven negotiation abilities
- Adaptable working style with capacity to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various delivery stages
- Familiarity with large-scale project delivery (up to £100m)
- Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
- Experience in Build to Rent (BTR) sector
- Background working within multi-disciplinary environments
- Track record of supporting business development with existing and new clients
- Ability to identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
