The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dedicated and career-oriented Senior Project Manager to join their close-knit team in Bristol. As part of their versatile team, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects spanning various sectors, such as public buildings and estates, residential and housing, education, retail, healthcare, commercial, and insurance. By working across multiple sectors, you'll develop a broad range of skills and expand your knowledge, ensuring continuous growth and exciting new challenges in your career.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and develop a section of the existing Project Management team in their Bristol office while being supported by an established multi-disciplinary practice.
- Providing project management services at different stages of projects to clients from multiple industries
- Management and leadership of multidisciplinary design teams comprising of both internal and external consultants
- New and existing client management and development
- Fostering and sustaining a high-performing team
- Developing and implementing creative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients
- Generate progress reports aligned with various project stages, ensuring regular updates, such as monthly progress reports
- Provide support with conducting feasibility studies, including site surveys/investigations/evaluation
- Performance monitoring of contractors including contract administration (NEC3/4 and/or JCT)
- Track and routinely report on the progress made by the contractor on-site
- Arrange, attend, chair and record meetings as appropriate
- Lead the daily operations and administrative tasks of projects under the direction of a Project Director - the level of autonomy offered on projects will be influenced by their scale and complexity
The Candidate We’re looking for an engaging and passionate individual with a hunger to drive their business forward in the Bristol region. A natural leader with the necessary technical capability, you will be confident in your ability to lead a section of the team, develop new business and build on existing accounts.
- The ability to lead and execute projects effectively, manage client relationships, and engage in business development activities
- Proven experience of construction project management and managing professional teams
- Experience within the Real estate sector
- Expertise in the pre-construction phases of a project
- In-depth experience with MS Office software, including MS Project is essential
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related subject is desirable, but not essential
- Experience of report writing
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Confidence delivering presentations and holding client facing meetings
