About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Campaign Automation Analyst to join ECU's newly established Marketing Automation team within Growth, Engagement and Marketing.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how ECU connects with future students and alumni through personalised digital experiences. Working alongside a collaborative team of marketing automation and data specialists, you'll design, build and optimise automated customer journeys that engage audiences at key stages of their relationship with the University.
Reporting to the Marketing Automation Manager, you'll work hands on within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver targeted email campaigns, develop automated workflows and continuously improve customer journeys through data and insight. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the University to translate campaign objectives into personalised communications that deliver meaningful engagement and measurable outcomes.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both the technical and creative aspects of marketing automation. You'll be empowered to identify opportunities for improvement, contribute new ideas and help the team evolve towards a more proactive, data led approach to customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise personalised marketing automation journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Develop and deliver engaging email campaigns, templates and automated workflows supporting future student and alumni communications.
- Build, monitor and maintain automated customer journeys that improve engagement, conversion and retention.
- Partner with stakeholders across the University to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective digital experiences.
- Analyse campaign performance and use insights to continually refine customer journeys and improve results.
- Ensure all email communications align with ECU's branding, accessibility standards and best practice marketing automation principles.
- Provide advice, guidance and documentation to support consistent campaign delivery and automation standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging marketing automation trends and contribute to continuous improvement across the University's digital marketing capability.
About You You're passionate about creating personalised digital experiences and enjoy combining technology, creativity and customer insight to deliver meaningful marketing campaigns.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to build and deliver marketing automation campaigns and customer journeys.
- Experience developing responsive email templates and working with HTML and AMPscript (or similar technologies).
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft engaging, customer-focused email content tailored to different audiences and stages of the customer journey
- Experience delivering personalised digital campaigns within a medium or large organisation.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation, audience segmentation and customer journey design.
- The ability to analyse campaign performance and apply insights to optimise future activity.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse organisation.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is highly desirable. We also welcome applications from candidates with strong experience using other enterprise marketing automation platforms who can demonstrate highly transferable marketing automation capability.
