About the Opportunity
The Marketing Account Manager plays a key role within the Brand, Marketing and Growth team, partnering closely with Schools and Service Centres to deliver high quality, targeted marketing and communication initiatives.
Reporting to the Manager, Brand and Marketing, this role ensures ECU’s marketing and advertising initiatives effectively promote the offerings of its Schools and Service Centres. You’ll act as a trusted advisor and account manager, helping stakeholders plan, prioritise and execute campaigns that enhance the University’s reputation and support student growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor strategic marketing and advertising plans for allocated Schools and Service Centres.
- Build strong, proactive relationships with internal clients, providing clear advice on advertising, promotions, communications and digital needs.
- Leadwith the development of marketing collateral, campaign briefs, publications and promotional materials aligned to ECU’s brand and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with specialist teams across digital, creative, strategy, communications and events to deliver integrated, impactful marketing outcomes.
- Coordinate regular planning conversations, provide reporting, and ensure timely, effective delivery of campaigns and sponsorships.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support mentoring and capability uplift of Marketing Officers where required.
About You You’re a collaborative, solutions focused marketer who enjoys working across a broad portfolio and building strong stakeholder relationships. You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience planning, managing and delivering marketing or advertising campaigns in a large or complex environment.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach, someone who can work independently, anticipate needs and contribute strategically rather than operating in a purely reactive way.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities calmly and effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain productive partnerships.
- A genuine commitment to contributing positively to team culture, caring, supportive, and someone who naturally checks in on colleagues and helps maintain a warm, cohesive environment.
- A strong customer service focus, balancing priorities to deliver high quality outcomes.
- The ability to communicate clearly, think creatively and solve problems with a practical, solutions oriented mindset.
