About Batchelor Institute and the role: Batchelor Institute, Australia's leading First Nations Tertiary Education and Research provider, is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing and Engineering Lecturer to develop and deliver engaging programs in Civil Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, and Automotive.
Tenure: Full time fixed term for 2 years
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and assess training from the MEM Manufacturing and Engineering package, ensuring industry standards and client needs are met.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Apply VET educational theories to create authentic and flexible learning experiences.
Use effective strategies to promote learner engagement and achievement.
Develop and modify assessment tools to suit learner needs, ensuring compliance with assessment principles.
Collaborate with enterprises and communities to ensure teaching reflects current industry practices and community values.
Maintain vocational competency and stay updated with industry changes.
Adapt program content and teaching methods to meet enterprise and community needs.
Undertake additional duties as directed.
Required Qualifications:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment1
A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training
A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or
TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or
TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.
CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
AND:
MEM31925 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
AND:
First Aid Certificate
Skills:
Experience in delivering VET programs in Civil Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, or Automotive.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of VET educational theories and assessment principles.
Commitment to continuous industry and community engagement.
Ability to adapt teaching to diverse learner needs.
