Centurion Building Products is an Australian family-owned manufacturing group with a national presence, operating under two divisions:

• Centurion Garage Doors Pty Ltd - our garage doors division, operating across the country and servicing builders, resellers and homeowners for 50 years; and
• Centurion Framing Systems Pty Ltd - our rapidly expanding metal framing division, supplying and installing steel roof, wall and flooring systems to the Western Australian building industry.

The Opportunity
 
Are you a BI professional who is already leveraging AI to work faster, smarter, and build better systems? 
This is not a conventional reporting role. It is a business transformation role for someone who can use data, business intelligence and practical AI to improve how work gets done across the business.
 
As our Senior AI & Business Intelligence Analyst, you will bridge the gap between technical data, commercial strategy, operational performance and practical AI adoption.  
You will build on the Group's existing reporting systems and early BI capability to help develop a more integrated analytics framework whilst partnering with executives and internal systems stakeholders to lead AI-enabled workflow initiatives.
 
Sitting directly within the CFO's strategic portfolio, this role will help modernise how Centurion uses reporting, analytics and AI-enabled workflows to improve business performance.
 
What You'll Do

• Evolve Reporting into a Scalable BI Framework: Build on Centurion's existing reporting systems and developing BI capability to develop a more integrated, scalable and self-serve analytics framework for executives, General Managers and operational leaders. Improve KPI consistency, reporting discipline and business visibility across the Group, using Power BI and other fit-for-purpose tools where appropriate.
• Lead Practical AI Adoption: Identify and implement practical AI-enabled tools, templates and workflows that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and support better decision-making across key business processes.
• Deliver Commercial and Operational Insight: Turn financial, operational and business data into clear, actionable insights that support performance improvement, productivity, commercial decision-making and disciplined growth.
• Bridge Business and Systems: Work with internal technology, systems and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable reporting, analytics and workflow improvement solutions.
• Build Analytics Capability: Help shape a scalable analytics capability for the Group, including supporting future analyst resources and building adoption of reporting tools, AI-enabled workflows and practical business insights. 
• Support Responsible AI Use: Promote responsible use of AI-enabled tools, with appropriate regard for data security, confidentiality, accuracy, governance and practical usability.

What We're Looking For
 
Required Experience & Skills:

• Technical capability: Strong expertise in Power BI, Excel, data modelling, and SQL or equivalent querying tools. 
• Business systems and reporting frameworks: Experience working with ERP systems, operational reporting frameworks, business data sources and workflow / process improvement initiatives.
• Executive reporting and insight: Experience preparing or supporting reporting for executives, senior management or other senior decision-making forums, with the ability to translate data into clear, practical recommendations.
• Practical AI and automation: Hands-on experience using AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, automate recurring workflows and solve everyday operational pain points.
• Commercial acumen: Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into practical recommendations for senior leaders.
• Business transformation mindset: Experience identifying, designing and implementing workflow improvement, automation or business improvement initiatives.
• Stakeholder and technical collaboration: Proven ability to work with software developers, executives, managers and operational users to implement practical change.
• Responsible AI and data discipline: Sound judgement in using AI tools responsibly, with appropriate regard for data security, confidentiality, accuracy and governance.
• Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

 Bonus Points:

• Experience in manufacturing, building products, construction, distribution, or multi-site operational environments.
• Experience working with proprietary or in-house ERP systems.
• Experience supporting formal Board reporting processes.
