What’s the opportunity Finstro is the quiet achiever of the FinTech world. With over 10 years in lending and a track record of $1.3 billion in transactions, we are currently evolving from a specialist SME lender into a powerhouse for high-mid and large enterprise markets.
To enhance our enterprise sales capabilities, we are adding a
Director of Enterprise Finance Solutions to the team. In this role, you won't just be managing a territory; you will be rolling up your sleeves to build, qualify, and close sophisticated deals. This is a role for a visionary, highly entrepreneurial finance professional who wants to be part of a scale-up journey where they can make a meaningful difference. You will be in charge of your own destiny, bringing your network to the table and converting it into commercial reality.
What you’ll do - Entrepreneurial Solution Design: Act as a highly commercially minded partner who can analyse a business's issue or problem, and design a bespoke financial solution rather than simply overlaying an existing product.
- Structure Complex Deals: Take full ownership of deal architecture. Utilising an advanced financial understanding, you will be great at analysis and working the numbers to architect non-traditional, mathematically rigorous, and commercially viable deals.
- Product & Process Improvement: Actively shape the company's offerings by encouraging product and business process improvement rather than just selling a static product.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing: Identify high-value prospects and devise multi-channel sales acquisition strategies to reach large enterprise clients.
- Pipeline Management: Build a robust 30-60-90 day pipeline, moving fast to generate originations and "runs on the board".
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and credit resources to approve term sheets and align with global business objectives.
- Drive Market Expansion: Determine priority industries and geographical regions where there is a clear market need for business funding.
What you’ll bring to the role We are looking for a go-getter who doesn't accept the status quo and is ready for a challenge.
- Industry Expertise: Minimum 8–10 years of multi-channel B2B Sales leadership experience. We have a strong preference for candidates with an investment banking and/or FinTech advisory background.
- Financial & Analytical Excellence: You must have advanced financial understanding and the ability to prove the commercial viability of complex deals. Formal qualifications supporting your expertise in numerical and financial analysis are highly regarded.
- Proven Network: A strong existing network within the B2B commerce sector that you can leverage immediately.
- Resilience: Experience working in an early-stage, technology-centric, and rapid-growth environment where processes are still being refined.
- Strategic Communication: Expert negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage directly with sophisticated enterprise-scale clients.
Benefits of working for Finstro At Finstro, we value high engagement and "office-centric" synergy.
- High-Engagement Office Culture: Please note that this role is 100% office-based (Sydney CBD) for the first 6 months.
- Growth & Incentives: Freedom to demonstrate your entrepreneurship and be rewarded with uncapped trailing commissions.
- Flare Benefits: Access to a wide range of employee discounts (novated car lease, groceries, health insurance, department stores) through our partner program.
- Employee Support: Full access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
