What’s the opportunity
Working within the APAC Communications team, your primary focus will be the ‘nuts and bolts’ of franchisee information sharing. This is an operational, internally-facing role where you will ensure that Subway owners across the region have the information they need to run their businesses effectively. You will translate complex supply chain and marketing updates into clear, actionable stories that drive value.
What you’ll do
As the Senior Communications Coordinator, you will be the voice that keeps the franchisees informed and prepared to run their business.
Operational Messaging: create and deliver ‘on time and in full’ communications regarding product trials, supply chain updates (such as product shortages or weather impacts), and promotional offers (e.g. beverage partner activations).
Content Management; manage the day-to-day editorial process, drafting emails, articles, and presentations that adhere to strict brand guidelines.
Accuracy & Proofing: take ownership or ‘factchecking’ and work closely with the supply chain and marketing teams to ensure every message is correct before release to the franchisees.
Calendar Coordination: maintain the communications calendar to ensure a steady, organised flow of information across the APAC region.
Support B2B Strategy: provide administrative and writing support for broader B2B initiatives, including occasional PR and social media updates as required by the Team Lead.
What you’ll bring to the role
We are looking for a self-starter who is motivated and takes pride in their work. You should be accountable and have the ability to own projects. You’ll also need superb writing skills - not only to craft fresh, engaging content but also to translate business messaging into clear, accessible communication.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
- Experience: at least 2 years of experience in a professional writing, internal communications, or junior marketing role
- Writing Excellence: exceptional written skills with a ‘plain English’ approach to a business-as-usual (BAU) mindset) messaging.
- Operational Mindset: the ability to work quickly to incorporate feedback and meet tight deadlines for urgent operational needs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: a collaborative style, comfortable asking questions of internal and external stakeholders to get the facts right.
- Technically Savvy: proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with Adobe Express is a plus but not essential.
