About the role:
 
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting all aspects of both financial and management accounting, statutory reporting, internal controls, and taxation for the Actron Group. You will lead one direct report and contribute to continuous improvement of financial controls and systems.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
As our Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Lead financial statement preparation and prepare consolidated accounts.
• Coordinate the annual audit and statutory reporting for the ActronAir group.
• Accountable for tax obligations, including tax calculations (current and deferred), FBT, and GST.
• Operational Management:
• Manage the month-end close and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Oversee payroll processes and provide backup support.
• Manage the CAPEX register, fixed assets, and IFRS16 lease reporting.
• Oversee treasury, foreign exchange, and insurance renewals.
• Leadership & Partnership:
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practice in financial governance.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to understand financial results and actions.
• Lead documentation of finance process, policies, and practices across the organization.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide leadership on finance projects and support strategic priorities.

What you will need to be successful in this role:
 
We are looking for a candidate who meets these essential requirements:

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' experience in financial accounting or auditing.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and compliance
• ERP system skills are essential, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience highly regarded.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills , with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Ability to work independently, show initiative, and deliver under deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
