What’s the opportunity?
As the IT System & Support Administrator, you will partner with an outsourced IT solution provider (MSP) to meet service level agreements (SLAs), manage escalations, and support the evolving needs of the business. This is a hands-on role with a strong stakeholder-facing focus, making it ideal for someone who is proactive, motivated and committed to delivering outstanding service. Success in this position requires the ability to communicate effectively supporting non-technical staff. This role is covering a period of maternity leave.
What you’ll do
- Building, documenting, and maintaining knowledge of all internal systems and support vendors.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving operating system issues.
- Managing day-to-day operations of Microsoft (0365, Teams, Dynamics, and Exchange) and cloud environments.
- Driving the implementation, training, and roll-out of new software and systems for end users.
- Assisting with the continuous review and streamlining of company software and infrastructure.
- Maintaining and overseeing IT user policies and procedures, including those for data breaches and business continuity.
- Managing internal IT setup and induction for new hires.
- Handling asset management for all equipment.
- Working with the outsourced service desk to resolve support issues and requests quickly and effectively
What you’ll bring to the role You’ll bring a proactive, adaptable approach with a strong customer service mindset and the confidence to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both inside and outside the business. Clear, professional communication—both written and verbal—is key, along with solid technical expertise. We’re seeking someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate - A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an Internal Systems Management role, including IT security and data breach management.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 tenancies.
- Prior experience with Microsoft ENTRA and/or Security is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of infrastructure services design and delivery (LANs, WANs, servers, desktops, etc.).
- Experience actively managing a range of IT suppliers (Vendor Management) and an outsourced IT support provider (MSP).
- Superior time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Practical problem-solving skills with an operational focus.
- Experience in a retail hardware or IT environment is an advantage
