About the Role
 
As the State Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the Victorian operations and leading a team of 12. You will report to the Head of Sales and be accountable for Branch Management, business growth, team development, and achieving sales budgets and targets.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and owning the state sales plan to achieve budget goals.
• Working with the local sales team in the field, coaching them to execute and meet budgeted outcomes.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, a dealer network, and co-workers.
• Managing warehouse and distribution costs to stay within budget.
• Leading weekly sales meetings and monitoring progress to achieve sales growth.
• Acting as a local leader, creating strong relationships between the local team and head office, role modelling and aligning with the company's values of One Team, Family, Customer Focus, and Continuous Improvement & Innovation.

Skills and Experience
 
We're looking for someone who has a proven track record in a similar role with strong leadership and supervisory skills.
 
The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 5 years of sales experience in a manufacturing or distribution business within the residential and commercial building sector.
• A minimum of 3 years in a relevant leadership position.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including knowledge of budgets and previous P&L responsibility.
• Experience with a dealer network, warehousing & distribution, and local branch operations.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of the HVAC industry is preferred but not essential.
