About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and directly managing one Accounts Receivable Officer, the Accounts Receivable Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collections, sound credit control practices, and accurate reporting. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance, and Operations, as well as regular engagement with customers.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Lead, mentor, and support the Accounts Receivable Officer to ensure effective performance and development.
Allocate and oversee daily workloads and priorities within the AR function.
Manage the end-to-end AR cycle, including credit assessment, invoicing oversight, collections, reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
Conduct account reviews and credit limit assessments.
Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policy and proactively manage credit risk.
Review and approve new customer applications, including credit checks and limit approvals.
Monitor and report on aged debtors, collection performance, and DSO targets.
Provide AR performance insights to the CFO and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the AR function.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

5 + years’ experience in a full-function AR role, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Strong understanding of credit control, collections, and AR systems.
Experience in a manufacturing environment and ERP systems (preferably Dynamics) is advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial reporting capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset.
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Solution-focused approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
