About the role:

This position is well-suited for individuals who thrive in practical, technical, and hands-on activities. The best part of this role is that every day brings something new and exciting! Monday to Friday with one Saturday morning every month.
We are a multi trade workshop including mechanical, auto electrical, automotive body building, insurance repairs, plumbing, welding and fabrication and engineering. There is the ability to upskill and multi-trade your career.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

MIG Welding
High quality workmanship
Strong safety & quality focus
Proactive and able to meet deadlines.
Welding repairs to caravan and trailer frames and chassis.
Must be willing to learn how to complete other types of repairs to trailers and caravans
Physically fit - manual handling and heavy lifting involved.
Follow all OH&S and maintain a clean environment / workspace.
Document all work electronically via company issued tablet
Mentor apprentices

What you will need to be successful in this role:

Experienced welder/fabricator or boilermaker
Qualified welder - no essential minimum number of years qualified (desirable)
Drivers licence and Forklift licence
Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Previous experience or an interest in the automotive / caravan / marine / recreational vehicle industries
Strong work ethic including being reliable, punctual and hardworking
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to think ‘outside the square’ and multitask
Have a down-to-earth personality.
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Have a positive can do attitude
