Our client, a leader in the drilling and mining services industry, is seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Field Advisor to support operations across multiple sites in Australia. This is a field-based role ideal for a safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
You will play a critical role in coaching operational teams, implementing HSE best practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  
Key Responsibilities:
HSE Leadership & Coaching

• Promote and support a consistent HSE culture across all operational sites.
• Conduct regular site visits to coach supervisors and drill crews on safety practices and management plans.
• Guide and support teams in the application and improvement of site-specific HSE and Emergency Management Plans.

Management Systems & Planning

• Collaborate with the HSE Manager to implement and maintain HSE Management Systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Develop and update Rig or Site-specific HSE documentation.

Inspections & Compliance

• Carry out scheduled inspections using Safety Culture and follow up on corrective actions.
• Oversee compliance with chemical storage, electrical testing/tagging, fire safety equipment, and gas monitor calibrations.
• Ensure Chem Alert records are up to date and crews are trained in chemical safety.

Incident Management

• Lead and facilitate investigations into incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Identify root causes, assign corrective actions, and ensure timely closeout in HSE Central.
• Promote hazard identification and risk control measures.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop strong working relationships with client site representatives, particularly within their HSE teams.
• Participate in client audits and HSE meetings, representing our client professionally and collaboratively.

Fitness for Work & Wellbeing

• Monitor fitness for work programs, including BAC, drug & alcohol testing, hydration testing, and fatigue management.
• Ensure daily compliance and address concerns with onsite teams.

Communication & Reporting

• Support the delivery of HSE communications, toolbox talks, and bulletins.
• Assist in the development of toolbox topics and safety alerts.
• Maintain records and reports on inspections, testing, and HSE statistics for assigned sites.

About you:

• At least 2 years in a dedicated HSE role
• Minimum 2 years in the drilling industry
• Minimum 5 years FIFO experience in the mining industry
• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS); Diploma preferred
• ICAM Lead Investigator certification
• Electrical Test and Tag (UEESS00174)
• Prepare, maintain and test response equipment (PUAEQU001)
• Conduct routine inspect of fire extinguishers/fire blankets (CPPFES2020)
