Role: System Administrator (Onsite - Kingston)
Client: Federal Government 
Location: Kingston (Onsite at Client Site)
Duration: Contract up to 5 years (Multiple Option Periods)
Security Clearance: Secret
 
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with Secret security clearance to support and manage enterprise-level infrastructure for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware, Microsoft servers, and datacenter operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, monitor, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with:
  • VMware 7.x/8.x infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.
  • Microsoft Server (2019/2022), MS Windows OS (Win 10/11), and Active Directory with Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise and SCCM.
  • Veeam backup systems and Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).
  • Datacenter hardware and network infrastructure.
• Provide network documentation, training, and guidance to team members.
• Monitor and optimize network traffic, recommending improvements for bandwidth usage.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex server and network issues.
• Consult with users to evaluate requirements, plan projects, and coordinate network installations.
• Document server and network problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Create and monitor change and service requests via the web portal.

Mandatory Criteria:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator.
2. At least 24 months of experience in system administration for an enterprise-scale datacenter (10+ hosts/100+ servers) within the past 60 months.
3. 24 months of experience with VMware vRealize Suite administration, including vRealize Automation/Aria Cloud Templates and VROPS in the last 60 months.
4. 24 months of experience with Microsoft Server products, particularly Windows Server 2019/2022 within the past 60 months.
5. At least 12 months of experience using VMware Cloud Foundation (including ESX 7.X/8.X, vCenter, NSX-T, and vSAN) within the last 60 months.
6. Active Secret security clearance.

• Experience in providing network support and optimization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams.
