Senior Project Officer - ICT

As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating project activities alongside a Senior Technical Project Manager/Project Lead within the IT Front Door team.

Your expertise will be crucial in managing dependencies, risks, and ensuring governance and compliance in ICT project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities in detailed integrated project plans, tracking progress through design, build, testing, implementation, and transition to operational teams.
• Manage project control registers, including dependencies, risks, issues, change control, and actions.
• Liaise with and coordinate stakeholders internally and externally in a multi-vendor environment.
• Ensure project governance and adherence to delivery processes in alignment with industry standards, frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
• Support process management establishment and continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an ICT Project Officer within a Federal Government environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support projects from initiation to completion in a complex multi-vendor ICT environment.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Planner, Clarity) and knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vendors, team members, and internal business/ICT teams.
• Relevant degree or diploma in project management or a related field - desirable
• Experience in project delivery within cloud and multi-cloud environments (Azure, OCI, AWS, etc.) - desirable
