The Birth of a Child (BoC) Project is committed to delivering a streamlined experience for birth mothers of newborns engaging with Commonwealth and state or territory government services.

The project aims to introduce a ‘tell us once’ approach, minimising the burden of form filling and government interactions by re-using existing government-held information.

Key Duties:

• Supporting the EL1 lead with governance, coordination, and stakeholder engagement
• Establishing and managing Registries of Births, Deaths, and Marriages Working Groups and co-design sessions
• Developing a User Experience (UX) delivery plan for communication materials and resources tailored to rural/remote and First Nations communities
• Assisting with onboarding the WA jurisdiction and developing support materials

• ✨ Experience setting up governance arrangements
• ✨ Knowledge of cross-jurisdictional government services
• ✅ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• ✅ Highly organised with experience in delivering high-quality secretariat outcomes
• ✅ Ability to coordinate workshops, co-design sessions, and prepare meeting materials
• ✅ Experience developing project artefacts (e.g., UX delivery plans, support resources)
