Senior User Interface Designer

- Must be a current Australian Citizen
- ASAP start until 30 June 2025, potential for 12 months extension
- $110 - $130/h incl. super (negotiable)

As a User Interface (UI) Designer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing high-quality user interfaces for websites, applications, and digital platforms. Your expertise in visual design, prototyping, and front-end technologies will play a crucial role in shaping seamless, user-centric experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development – Create visually appealing, functional, and responsive UI designs for digital products.
• User Research – Conduct research to understand user behaviour, ensuring intuitive and accessible interfaces.
• Prototyping & Wireframing – Develop prototypes and wireframes to bring design concepts to life.
• Usability Testing – Organise and conduct usability testing to refine and enhance user interactions.
• Design Systems & Patterns – Maintain design consistency across multiple platforms.
• Technical Expertise – Provide UI design insights and best practices for optimal project implementation.
• Documentation & Communication – Clearly articulate design ideas, guidelines, and best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

✔ 2+ years of experience in UI design with a proven track record of delivering high-quality digital interfaces.
✔ Proficient in: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks/libraries.
✔ Strong foundation in:

• Web standards (HTML, CSS, a11y, UX principles).
• JavaScript concepts (event loop, browser rendering pipeline).
• Web security (CSRF, CORS, CSP).
• Web fundamentals (DNS, HTTP) and modern web delivery techniques (SSR, CDNs, Edge compute).
