Banyan Park is looking for a dedicated Inclusion Support Officer (ISO) to mentor and empower their educators, ensuring every child receives optimal care and learning opportunities.

Your Role as an ISO As the ISO, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a culture of inclusion at Banyan Park. You’ll work hand-in-hand with educators to boost their capacity and capability to embed inclusive practices within their service. By tailoring support to meet the specific needs of Banyan Park’s educators and children, you’ll help break down barriers to inclusion and create an environment where every child is seen as capable, valued, and able to contribute.

What You’ll Do:

• Mentor and Support Educators — Work alongside educators to build their confidence, knowledge, and skills in inclusive practices.
• Promote Inclusion — Ensure that children from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or medical conditions, receive the care and learning opportunities they deserve.
• Identify and Address Barriers — Help identify service-specific barriers to inclusion and develop strategies to overcome them.
• Tailored Support — Focus on the strengths and needs of educators, providing personalized guidance and support.

About You We’re looking for someone with a strong passion for inclusion and a proven ability to create positive change. Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience in Early Childhood Inclusion — Extensive experience supporting inclusion in Early Childhood Education and Care services.
• Expert Knowledge — A deep understanding of inclusive practices, the National Quality Framework, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP) frameworks.
• Strong Communication — The ability to communicate effectively with educators, children, and stakeholders.
• Mentoring Skills — Experience mentoring educators, role-modelling best practices, and facilitating positive change.
• Problem-Solving Skills — Ability to address and overcome barriers to inclusion.
• Relevant Qualifications — Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles and Discrimination Laws.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and the ability to share knowledge with educators.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and online platforms such as CRM systems and video conferencing tools.
