APS6 WHS Case Manager

Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract: Non-ongoing, contract length not yet specified
Pay: $104,113 to $115,131 + 15.4% super
Work type: Full-time
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basis
Clearance: Must hold a current Baseline clearance or above

About the Role
This is an APS6 non-ongoing role with our Federal Government client. You will support work health and safety, injury management, rehabilitation and employee wellbeing across the organisation.

You will manage sensitive workplace cases, provide practical WHS advice and support sustainable return-to-work outcomes. You will also contribute to risk management, incident investigations, workplace assessments, reporting and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage WHS, injury management and rehabilitation cases
• Support timely, effective and sustainable return-to-work outcomes
• Provide specialist WHS and wellbeing advice to employees and managers
• Undertake WHS risk management, incident investigations and workplace assessments
• Support WHS governance, reporting, case records and policy implementation
• Work with employees, managers, health practitioners and rehabilitation providers
• Contribute to WHS and wellbeing programs and continuous improvement

What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

• You've managed WHS, injury management, rehabilitation or return-to-work cases
• You can give practical, risk-based WHS and wellbeing advice to employees and managers
• You've handled sensitive and complex cases with confidentiality and professionalism
• You've undertaken WHS risk management, incident investigations or workplace assessments
• You build productive relationships with employees, managers and external providers
• You can manage competing priorities, case records, reporting and deadlines
• You hold Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (BSB41419)
• You can satisfy Australian Federal Police Check requirements
• You're an Australian citizen
• You must hold a current Baseline clearance or above

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

• Knowledge of the Comcare scheme and rehabilitation case management principles
• Experience in injury management, return-to-work coordination or workplace wellbeing programs
