Location: Canberra, ACT
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Rate: $70 - $90 per hour including super (negotiable)
Clearance: Current Australian Government NV1 security clearance (or higher)
  
About the Role
The Project/Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting project governance, administration, stakeholder engagement, and communication activities across key security initiatives. You will work closely with senior staff, contribute to project coordination, and ensure effective information flow across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the senior staff with administrative functions while managing competing priorities in line with the goals and objectives of the team.
• Provide assistance with project delivery, look after day-to-day operations and BAU activities.
• Scheduling meetings and taking minutes during meetings and governance forums.
• Providing governance support, to develop and manage governance papers and agendas.
• Keeping records and handling the documentation that projects produce, and entering the data needed to generate reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers to manage the flow of information; and
• Co-ordinating the flow of information between stakeholders.
• Experience with designing and producing engaging infographics to support project presentations, reports, and marketing materials.
• Assist in the development and execution of communication plans, create content for various channels, and ensure clear and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes and systems.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training programs, supporting the successful implementation of project initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of previous project or PMO experience.
• An understanding of project management principles including planning, monitoring, evaluation, and assurance.
• Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated capacity to learn and acquire new digital skills and get the best out of existing software.
• A positive solution and service delivery focused attitude, with attention to detail and ability to meet tight and multiple deadlines; and
• Ability to work independently and within a small team by using initiative, demonstrating resourcefulness, and managing competing priorities.
