Digital Support Officer (APS6)

Location: Canberra, ACT
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Rate: $70 - $85 per hour including super (negotiable)
Clearance: Current Australian Government NV1 security clearance (or higher).
  
About the Role
A Federal Government Department is seeking a digital professional to support business process automation, reporting, and continuous improvement using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools.

This role works closely with business users to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver practical digital solutions. The work focuses on low to medium complexity automation and configuration rather than custom software development or system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand processes, identify pain points, gather requirements, and recommend practical digital solutions
• Design, build, and maintain solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
• Manage and improve existing workflows and digital solutions
• Ensure solutions align with organisational standards and are easy for users to adopt
• Provide user training, basic support, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Collaborate with internal IT teams as required

Skills & Experience

• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Power Platform
• Understanding of data modelling and reporting concepts
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into digital solutions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Experience working in government environments
