About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to lead the strategic review and uplift of procurement policies, procedures, and frameworks for a Federal Government agency. This role requires expertise in Commonwealth procurement frameworks and a strong ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive improvements in procurement governance and compliance.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a detailed review of existing procurement policies, procedures, frameworks, and templates.
• Perform gap analyses to identify outdated practices, compliance issues, or unclear processes.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to validate findings and support the development of recommendations.
• Draft revised policies and procedures aligned with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
• Assist in delivering training initiatives and support change management activities across the organisation.
• Participate in governance meetings and reporting activities as required.
• Document knowledge and ensure effective handover and transition practices.

Essential Criteria

• In-depth knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), PGPA Act, and probity requirements.
• Demonstrated experience delivering strategic procurement policy advice and managing complex contract frameworks.
• Proven ability to conduct effective gap analysis and develop actionable, practical recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience supporting organisational uplift and procurement training initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
