Project Manager (Procurement & Contracts)

Are you an experienced project manager with a strong background in contract management, procurement, and financial systems? This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping global food standards and representing Australia on the international stage.

You will join the Codex International Section, supporting Australia’s international food standard-setting body established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

This role will contribute directly to the delivery of a an international meeting with up to 200 delegates, and provide essential support to broader work programs and procurement activities.


About the Role:

• Lead the end-to-end tendering, contracting, and management of services for the international meeting
• Support broader procurement functions across the Branch.
• Enhance financial and contract management capabilities within the branch through targeted upskilling
• Provide backfill and operational support across the team during staff leave periods
• Use and assist others in navigating TechnologyOne (TechOne) for procurement, contract, and financial processes

• Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management in a government or large-scale environment
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Knowledge of financial systems and contract processes, ideally within the TechOne environment
• An adaptable team player with strong communication, planning, and reporting skills
• Experience in international engagement or event coordination is an advantage
