We are seeking a highly analytical Planning & Inventory Analyst to join our team and drive commercial performance across brands and retail stores. In this role, you will turn data into actionable insights, forecast demand, optimise inventory, and support store-level decision-making. Your work will directly impact sales performance, stock availability, and growth opportunities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse sales, inventory, and trading data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Develop accurate forecasts and monitor performance against plans, recommending corrective actions where needed
- Optimise inventory allocation to improve stock-to-sales alignment and reduce missed opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve sell-through and reduce excess or aged inventory
- Support retail store performance by analysing store level data, recommending allocation adjustments, and maximising in-store availability
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to track performance and drive data-led decisions
- Partner with retail, merchandise, supply chain, and leadership teams to implement insights and continuously improve processes
Key Measures of Success (KPIs) - In-stock performance and stock availability across the business
- Reduction in stock-to-sales gaps and lost sales due to inventory misalignment
- Improved sell-through and inventory productivity
- Forecast accuracy and variance management
- Performance uplift in targeted stores from allocation recommendations
- Adoption and impact of data-driven insights
Skills & Experience - Proven experience in a planning, inventory, or analytical role in retail or multi-store environments
- Hands-on experience with ERP or planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Kudos, Tableau)
- Strong knowledge of inventory processes including stocktakes, cycle counts, and inventory controls
- Advanced data analysis skills and strength in spreadsheet function
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Commercial awareness and understanding of retail performance drivers
