The Opportunity
  
This is a rare leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting practice professional with a strong understanding of accounting-practice-specific workflows and administration processes to step up and lead a talented executive support team. Our client is an established and highly respected accounting firm of 100+ staff, located in modern corporate offices in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Following a recent internal promotion, they are looking for an outstanding communicator and team player to take the helm of the administration function — leading the team, driving smooth and efficient workflows and ensuring exceptional support across the firm.
  
The Role
  
As the Administration & Executive Support Lead, you'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to oversee, review and refine the firm's administration processes and workflows. You'll lead, mentor and develop the administration team, ensuring they deliver consistently high-calibre support to the firm's professional teams, while fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  
Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the administration procedures firm wide (including updating processes, documenting procedures and streamlining systems)
• Up-skilling the administration team to ensure consistency of procedures and smooth delivery of support to audit and advisory teams etc
• Managing workloads and service standards across the team
• Driving efficiencies and identifying opportunities to improve the way the administration function operates
• Working closely with the CEO, Partners and senior stakeholders across the firm
• Overseeing facilities, suppliers and broader office requirements

About You
  
This is a key role, integral to the success of the broader teams across the firm. The successful candidate must have proven experience within an accounting practice, together with experience leading, supervising or mentoring an administration/support team. We're looking for an experienced Practice Manager, Administration/Office Manager or senior accounting practice professional with excellent communication and people leadership skills. You'll be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, comfortable driving improvements to processes and workflows, and passionate about developing a high-performing support team.
