About the Role

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced Fund Accountant to join a highly regarded specialist equities investment management firm located at the prestigious top end of Collins Street, in the thriving Melbourne CBD. This is a 6-month contract role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, values accuracy and structure, and thrives working closely with an experienced investment and fund accounting team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager and working closely with the Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day fund accounting operations across a range of investment vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily and month-end reconciliations
• Trade settlements and cash management
• Unit pricing and NAV calculations
• Preparation of performance and valuation reports
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external service providers
• Supporting broader fund operations as required

Skills and Experience

We're looking for someone experienced in Fund Accounting within the financial services industry (ie. Funds Management, Private Equity, Superannuation etc), who has strong reconciliation skills, a solid understanding of trade lifecycles, and proven experience with unit pricing and performance reporting. Exposure to accounts payable, corporate actions or related fund administration tasks will be highly regarded, along with your excellent attention to detail and methodical working style.
