The Company
Currently located in Richmond, our client is a creative interiors company specialising in innovative floor coverings and acoustic solutions. They partner with premium European brands and work with architects and designers to bring beautiful, functional design solutions for commercial projects across Australia and New Zealand. You'll love working in this collaborative and creative environment, and being part of a passionate, customer focused team.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on detail, and can balance multiple priorities with ease. Manage and monitor the full procurement and logistics process end to end, from taking client orders to coordinating shipping and freight forwarders, right through to delivery. You'll be the key link between the sales team, clients, suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping companies – ensuring orders and stock move smoothly and on time, and with excellent communication at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end-to-end order process – from client invoicing and stock allocation to delivery and system updates.
- Liaise with clients on lead times, delivery schedules, shipping updates and unpaid invoices.
- Plan and manage shipments with freight forwarders and agents, optimising air and sea freight solutions.
- Oversee local and international stock management – monitoring levels, replenishing efficiently, and reporting on ageing stock and cashflow.
- Manage local production scheduling.
- Coordinate sample production and allocate raw materials for production.
- Provide sales support by checking stock availability, creating holds, preparing delivery quotes, and assisting with client requests.
- Maintain accurate data in Xero and Salesforce throughout the logistics and ordering process.
Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone with similar experience in international freight, logistics, supply chain, or operations (interiors/design industry experience would be a bonus but not essential). Equally important will be your strong coordination and organisational skills, your ability to prioritise and stay ahead of deadlines, and your proactive, logical problem-solving approach. You'll need excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience together with high attention to detail, strong follow-through and advanced Excel skills.
If you're someone who enjoys taking ownership and is looking for a dynamic role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you... please send your resume asap!
