As pioneers in IVF, our client is one of the world’s leading centres for fertility treatment, remaining at the forefront of research and technology to offer the most advanced form of fertility treatment in Australia and worldwide. Located in their brand new purpose built clinic and head-office in Collingwood (East Melbourne fringe), this is a collaborative, fully integrated team of fertility specialists, nurses, scientists and counsellors all working together to provide outstanding patient outcomes and care. 
 
The Role

As a member of the Patient Liaison Team, you'll be responsible for onboarding and registering new patients and guiding them through the administrative and financial aspects of their IVF treatment. Working with patients face-to-face, over the phone and by email, you'll provide a range of information and support in a professional, welcoming, and empathetic manner. This is a fully office based role, 38 hours per week, working 8 hour shifts between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. On the job training will be provided and you'll be working with a fabulous team to provide accurate information and excellent customer service. Responsibilities include:-

• Supporting patients with their enquiries, documenting information and following up efficiently
• Registering patients in the patient database, ensuring proof of identification is obtained
• Arranging nursing, counselling and other clinic appointments for patients
• Guiding patients through financial information, explaining Medicare, private health cover and payment instalments
• Ensuring necessary administration processes are completed and applicable consents are on-file prior to treatment commencing
• Effective liaison with various departments, fertility specialists and medical secretaries
• Compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

First and foremost, we're looking for candidates with proven customer service and administration experience, who have strong communication skills, and a compassionate, organised, professional approach. You'll need intermediate Word/Excel skills and the ability to easily pick up new systems, such as the Patient Management System. And while not essential, a working knowledge of Medicare and Health Funds will be highly regarded, as will experience working in a medical environment.
