Based in the CBD head-office, this is a hybrid role where you'll be able to work from home up to 2 days a week.
The Role
As the Senior HR Advisor, you'll be working closely with the delightful Head of People & Culture and will be part of a hard-working, collaborative team. This is a key role, where you'll partner with many stakeholders providing trusted advice and support across the full range of human resource matters, helping to foster a positive, inclusive and values-aligned workplace culture. This is a varied and often complex role, where your responsibilities will include:
- Provide timely, accurate advice on employee issues, including performance management, grievances and misconduct.
- Interpret and apply relevant Modern Awards, NES, Fair Work etc.
- Support and coach leaders to conduct formal processes, including investigations, disciplinary action, and dispute resolution.
- Prepare and review employment documentation such as Employment Contracts, Terminations and Redundancies.
- Escalate complex matters the the Head of People & Culture or external legal counsel as required.
- Review and develop policies, procedures, templates and tolls to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job design, advertising, interviewing, reference checking and offers.
- Collaborate with WHS Specialist and internal stakeholders to respond to incidents, hazards and risk assessments.
- Support HR projects such as HRIS implementation, staff survey initiatives, salary bench marking.
- Oversee employment changes ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Support remuneration reviews, employment classification checks and award interpretation.
- Liaise with Payroll to ensure accuracy in employment data and pay outcomes.
Skills and Experience
We're looking for an experienced and customer focused HR Advisor who has strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills. A solid understanding of Fair Work and WHS will be essential, together with the ability to problem solve at a high level, see things through to the end, and work as a pro-active and collaborative team player.
