The Role

As Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you'll work collaboratively within the ER team to provide advice to schools on employment issues, enterprise agreement interpretations, employment and performance concerns, contracts of employment and salaries, and policy guidelines. You'll be liaising with Principals and school leaders on a diverse range of complex employee relations matters, while also contributing to the development of policies etc.

• Lead ER policy development and improvement
• Provide high-level ER advice to schools on performance, conflict resolution, and managing ill/injured employees
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Deliver training to schools
• Advocate in tribunals, including Fair Work Commission

Skills and Experience

This is an integral role within the Employee Relations team and we're looking for an experienced ER practitioner, who can bring strategic insight, leadership and practical expertise to the role. You'll need to have relevant tertiary qualifications, along with demonstrated expertise in employment law, workplace relations, policy development and managing complex issues. With strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, you'll also be a committed team player who can build relationships and trust across a range of stakeholders.
