The Role
As an Associate Adviser, you’ll work closely with Senior Advisors to provide ongoing, high-quality client service. You’ll play a key role in coordinating client workflow, delegating to the CSA team for administrative support, and shadowing Advisers for leadership and strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of Advice documents, including SoAs and RoAs
- Preparing cash flow models, performance analysis, and portfolio benchmarking
- Planning for, attending, and contributing to client meetings with the Adviser
- Completing file notes and maintaining client records
- Assisting in the implementation of Advice
- Acting as a point of contact for client and third-party queries
- Liaising with Accountants, Estate Planning Lawyers, and other professionals
- Undertaking peer review of SoAs, RoAs, and portfolio reviews
- Managing client workflow
- Overseeing daily trades
- Involvement in Compliance, Technical, and Investment Committees
- Supporting the firm’s growth strategy
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with formal qualifications in Financial Advice, having successfully completed the FASEA (ASIC Financial Adviser) exam and RG146 compliance. You should be committed to developing a long-term career in wealth management and will have experience in a similar role within the Financial Planning industry, working with high-net-worth clients, along with a working knowledge of investments, superannuation, estate planning, and compliance. You should also be comfortable communicating at a senior level to develop and nurture trusted relationships with clients, fellow staff members, and other key stakeholders. An understanding of financial planning software is preferred.
