Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and help drive excellence across one of our major construction projects. This is a key role focused on ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining quality management systems, conducting audits and inspections, and supporting project teams to deliver work that meets regulatory and client expectations. You’ll play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality management systems aligned with industry standards
• Collaborate with project teams to create and execute quality plans and inspection procedures
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections, providing feedback and driving corrective actions
• Manage non-conformance processes including root cause analysis and preventive actions
• Deliver training on quality processes and standards to project teams
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality regulations and standards
• Support supplier and subcontractor quality management
• Analyse quality data and generate performance reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate quality into project planning and execution

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction processes and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
• Experience in audits, inspections, and process improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in quality tools and methodologies
