Infrastructure People have partnered a trusted maintenance contractor delivering flexible and reliable trade Experts to the mining, civil, construction, oil and gas sectors. They specialize in mechanical field servicing, auto electrics, metal fabrication, and hydraulic hose & fitting services.

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Heavy Road Transport Fitter to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a range of heavy road transport vehicles and machinery used across remote and industrial sites.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy vehicles and transport equipment.
• Diagnose faults and conduct mechanical repairs on engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, and suspension.
• Undertake mobile field servicing and breakdown response on-site.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation.
• Collaborate with other team members, including auto electricians and hydraulic technicians, to deliver integrated solutions.

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Proven experience in servicing and repairing heavy road transport vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.).
• Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in remote environments.
