Your Role

As a Senior Environmental Scientist / Project Manager, you will take the lead on environmental investigation and remediation projects, manage project teams, and ensure quality delivery to our valued clients. This role combines technical leadership, project oversight, and business development responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management of environmental investigation and remediation projects including planning, scheduling, management of field personnel, client liaison, task and report delivery, and budget control.
• Field Work as required from time to time including routine field investigations and supervision of sub-contractors and other field operatives.
• Technical report writing and initial report review
• Business development tasks including preparation of project fee proposals and presentation to clients.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Compliance with EI’s IMS, WHS, Standard Operating and Quality Management Procedures.
• Attend and contribute to project meetings and internal staff training events.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years’ experience in the CLM consulting and has prior experience managing projects and small teams.
• Proven track record in managing small teams and delivering complex environmental projects.
• Strong fieldwork experience, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling, and supervising remediation works.
• Excellent technical writing and report review skills.
• Sound knowledge of NSW EPA and NEPM guidelines and environmental legislation.
• Experience preparing fee proposals and contributing to business development initiatives.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Current Australian Driver’s License and White Card.
