The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is perfect for someone with a background in delivering civil and bulk earthworks projects. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in assisting with the management and execution of large infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site teams, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil and bulk earthworks projects.
• Support the Project Manager in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports and safety plans.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Review and assist with the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Identify potential risks and issues, and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Participate in site inspections and liaise with stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer within the civil infrastructure industry, particularly in bulk earthworks projects.
• Experience working on projects in the range of $2 million to $35 million in value.
• Strong understanding of project engineering processes, including project scheduling, cost management, and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A commitment to safety and quality on-site.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience using project management software is a plus.
