Renewable Energy Lead

Position Overview

As the Renewable Energy Lead based in Sydney, you will spearhead the expansion of our client’s renewable energy services in the Australian market. This pivotal role will require you to leverage your industry expertise and network to drive business development, focusing on large-scale renewable energy projects.
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of renewable energy services, specifically in the realm of high-voltage power design and other renewable energy systems. You will collaborate closely with the global our client team and key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, growth in market presence, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of our client's renewable energy services in Australia, focusing on large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Act as a technical authority on Primary High Voltage Design, overseeing all design and implementation stages of renewable energy projects.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our client’s market share in Australia’s renewable energy sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to promote our client’s services.
• Manage project teams, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other sectors within our client globally to deliver comprehensive, multi-disciplinary services to clients.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications will be highly regarded.
• At least 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in Primary High Voltage Design.
• Extensive experience in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects, ideally within Australia or the Asia-Pacific region.
• Demonstrated success in business development, with the ability to generate new business and build strong client relationships.
• Strong understanding of Australian standards, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks related to the energy sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent our client at industry events and conferences.
• Proven leadership and project management capabilities, with experience in managing diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
